I’m a Postdoctoral Associate at RSMAS (University of Miami) in Physical Oceanography and currently working on the analysis of drifters Lagrangian data in the Gulf of Mexico. This work is made possible by the Consortium for Advanced Research on Transport of Hydrocarbon in the Environment (CARTHE), funded by the Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative (GoMRI) following a competitive peer-review process for the purpose of studying the oil spill and its impact on the Gulf’s delicate ecosystems.
I’m interested by fluid dynamics (of course!), vortex dynamics, coherent structures and turbulence. I’m also a computer and programming geek and it helps me tremendously to analyze all the data generated by experiment and simulation.
